Who we are
Studio Vernacular is an architectural practice working from the Northwest of England. Founders Rob + Ollie met in 2017 and have since gone on to develop a varied portfolio of work across the UK ranging from; one-off contemporary homes & extensions, newbuild housing developments, city-centre high-rise projects and listed building renovations.
Studio Vernacular brings together our passions for building fabric, the celebration of traditional construction methods, and buildings which are rooted in their context. We provide services to residential architecture from new-build dwellings to home extensions and interior renovations.
How we work
Our approach to design is context-driven and client-focused. Every project begins with you, the client, to understand your vision, lifestyle, budget, and more. We then apply contextual research, looking to a site's physical surroundings, history and uses to develop well considered material pallets, spaces and forms. The end goal is always to create spaces that enhance the way people live, work, and share.
Our expertise spans feasibility studies, navigating the planning process, design development, technical documentation, construction detailing, and on-site support throughout the build process.

Who we work with.
We work closely with domestic clients, homeowners, consultants, and contractors to ensure every stage is carefully managed and executed to the highest standard.
